About Us
Cancer Care Parcel is a principled, inclusive, and compassionate organisation dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer. Our events bring expert voices to the community—whether healthcare professionals, patients, carers, or advocates—offering honest, practical advice without judgment.
We are now building a Volunteer Event Team to help us continue running high-quality, informative events. This is your chance to join a warm, purposeful community that genuinely makes a difference.
We are recruiting for the following volunteer roles (as one coordinated team):
- Research and identify trustworthy speakers who align with our mission.
- Schedule and host initial Zoom meetings to confirm speaker interest.
- Connect confirmed speakers with our moderators for event preparation.
2. Event Moderators
- Meet with speakers ahead of events to go through format and expectations.
- Introduce and moderate live Zoom events (you’ll always work in pairs).
- Provide a calm, welcoming environment and manage Q&A sessions.
3. Post-Event Editors
- Download and edit recordings using Canva (training provided).
- Upload final videos to our YouTube channel.
- Collect and share event feedback.
4. Event Writers
- Create summaries of the events (with help from AI tools).
- Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and clarity in the final write-up.
- Collaborate with the social team to share the content.
5. Creative & Social Media Support
- Design promotional visuals for each event.
- Help with scheduling and posting event updates on social media.
Who We’re Looking For
- People who are reliable, organised, and enjoy working in a team.
- Comfortable using Zoom and basic digital tools (or open to learning).
- Interested in supporting those affected by cancer.
- Able to attend occasional team meetings and coordinate via email or group chat.
