About the role
This is a hands-on kitchen leadership role, focused on prep, product quality, food safety, cleanliness and keeping the back of house running smoothly. You’ll help set the rhythm for the prep team, making sure ingredients are prepared to spec, deliveries are checked properly, stock is rotated and the restaurant is ready for service each day. It’s for someone who cares about clean organisation, consistent food quality and calm, practical leadership.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support the back of house team during prep and service.
- Prepare ingredients and products with care, accuracy and consistency.
- Make sure prep is completed to spec and ready for service.
- Receive and check deliveries, including quality, quantities and temperatures.
- Manage labelling, stock rotation and shelf-life controls.
- Keep kitchen, prep and storage areas clean, organised and safe.
- Follow food safety, allergen and health & safety processes consistently.
- Communicate clearly with the General Manager, Assistant Manager and front of house team.
- Support training and coaching for team members working in prep or kitchen areas.
- Help manage waste, stock accuracy and daily kitchen routines.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a kitchen, prep or food production role.
- Experience leading or supporting others in a back of house environment.
- Strong food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness.
- Organised, calm and able to work with pace and accuracy.
- Someone who takes pride in clean, well-run prep and kitchen standards.
- Good communicator who can work closely with both kitchen and service teams.
- Comfortable following specs, checklists and clear processes.
- A hands-on person who leads by example.
Contract: Permanent.
