Job Summary: Part of the creative team leading a small centre of excellence to define our future workplace products. Working with our world-class design teams and in-house leasing, investment, development and construction business units, the role-holder will bring creativity, data insight and collaboration. Salary: £75,000-£80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- This is an office-based role with the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.
- A design lead accountable within CWG for the design intent and delivery of new workspace at Canary Wharf.
- Supporting the leasing, development, investment and construction teams to deliver new buildings, strategic interventions in common areas, repurpose old ones and create new MadeFor and other turnkey offers.
- Accountable for directing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to interpret a client brief into an exceptionally designed space which is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
- Assist in the management of a small team of design and CAD experts alongside an external team of consultants to deliver design concepts and construction information to inform delivery.
- Accountable for building a knowledge base of the work of others around the world, and to use data and workplace theory to inform our own design thinking at CWG.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- ARB qualified architect with extensive post-qualification professional design experience in architecture and interior design.
- Deep understanding and track record in delivering commercial office products with innovative workspace delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience across all work stages from concept through to delivery.
- Design flair and proven experience in concept design and creating/managing design briefs.
- A pro-active, organised individual who holds high standards.
- Have a creative mind, with an eye for graphical representation of information.
- An articulate communicator, with strong collaboration and coordination skills who thrives in a team environment.
- Proven client relationship skills.
- Project management experience including design coordination, information flow, design/construction programmes, costs and budgeting.
- A broad knowledge of FF&E including furniture, product, lighting design trends in the current market are essential.
- A broad knowledge of sustainable products within various applications is essential.
- Required software skills – AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Enscape, Microsoft - Word/Excel/PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop.
