Provide M&E and compliance oversight for the retail/commercial units located within the residential buildings.
Ensure commercial occupiers are supported on building infrastructure, emergency systems, and statutory responsibilities.
Act as a liaison point for technical queries and planned works coordination, escalating to the Residential Building Manager where appropriate.
Provide direct cover or escalation support for the Building Manager and Front of House Manager during periods of absence or unavailability.
Participate in the on-call rota for engineering emergencies and urgent building issues.
Carry out other reasonable duties as instructed and directed by the Residential Building Manager (and Operations Manager where required).
Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship or higher qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering or building services.
- Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, SSSTS, or NEBOSH) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing engineering or hard-services delivery in high-end residential or mixed-use environments.
- Proven ability to lead in-house teams and external contractors, maintaining compliance and service excellence.
- Strong working knowledge of statutory systems (L8, EICR, SFG20, LOLER, PUWER, building regulations).
- Experience using CAFM systems and reactive maintenance systems, such as Yardi Maintenance IQ or RiskWise.
- Technically credible, safety-focused leader with strong problem-solving skills.
