Reservations & Events Manager to oversee our reservations operation and help create unforgettable guest experiences.
As a key member of our management team, you will ensure seamless communication between front‑of‑house, kitchen, and the Mason & Fifth events teams, delivering a smooth guest journey from first enquiry through to arrival.
The Role
- Reservations & Systems Management
- Manage & optimise
Seven Rooms availability and access rules to maximise covers.
- Handle all email and phone enquiries with prompt, polished communication.
- Oversee
Triple Seat event enquiries and follow‑ups.
- Maintain accurate availability, guest notes, and profiles across platforms.
- Events & Group Bookings
- Coordinate all large group bookings and private events across the restaurant.
- Work with the Head Chef and Executive Chef on menus and logistics.
- Communicate the
Mason & Fifth cultural & events programme to the team.
- Prepare event briefing documents and ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Guest Experience Leadership
- Lead host operations and ensure every guest is greeted warmly and efficiently.
- Uphold standards around greetings, seating, and cloakroom procedures.
- Train FOH teams in Seven Rooms usage, communication, and service etiquette.
- Deliver relaxed yet polished service that embodies the Canal experience.
- Team Development
- Lead and support the host team to deliver consistent service excellence.
- Partner with management to deliver cross‑training across service teams.
- Set the tone for hospitality through confident, positive leadership.
- Operations & Administration
- Produce regular reporting on booking trends, occupancy, and guest feedback.
- Maintain accurate digital & written records for events and guest preferences.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and operational procedures.
What we're looking for.
Essential
- Experience in reservations, guest relations, or events within a premium or high‑volume venue.
- Strong working knowledge of
- Seven Rooms and
- Triple Seat
(or equivalent).
- Excellent written & verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask calmly under pressure.
- Confident leadership with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Highly organised, proactive, and solution‑oriented.
Desirable
- Experience running the door or managing a section in premium dining.
- Event operations and private dining familiarity.
- Understanding of CRM and guest database management.
