Join us today and become a member of our Towpath Team, where you can help keep history alive by preserving our waterways. In this role, you will have the opportunity to explore the many beautiful faces and locations of our network while assisting in the maintenance of our structures and assets. Your tasks may include pre‑planned maintenance, such as cutting back vegetation around aqueducts, or tackling graffiti in more urban areas. Our team does an outstanding job of ensuring there is plenty of beauty in our surroundings. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant difference in your community while learning more about the canals in your area.
Our Rochdale Towpath Taskforce group meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 10 AM to 2 PM at various locations in Rochdale, between locks 51 and 59. Specific locations will be provided in our monthly newsletter, which is sent out on the 21st of each month.
