We are looking for keen and enthusiastic people who are able to host guided walks, Paddle & Pick sessions, and a whole host of other guided activities for our visitors to enjoy. You’ll help thousands of people to enjoy the network like never before and in turn will help to achieve our goals of keeping canals alive. Volunteer role: Waterside Leader

Why we want you: As a Waterside Leader we need your support to help facilitate a wonderful experience to those looking to enjoy and improve our network by leading a number of activities. We have Walk Leader, Mental Health First Aider, Paddle Instructor and other opportunities to offer you in this role. Your support with this role helps us connect to more people and inspire them to help keep canals alive.
What you will be doing:
- Leading events such as guided walks or paddlesport activities
- Working within a team running an event or a series of events
- Engaging visitors and supporting our wonderful waterways through different activities
- Learning new skills
When you register as a volunteer, we will ask you about any unspent convictions which you need to declare and risk assess these as needed.
