The predicted salary is between 23000 - 27000 £ per year.

Location: Remote working with a dedicated hub for collaborative team working and meetings. You can choose from: Milton Keynes, Birmingham or Hatton.

Working hours: 37 hours per week. 9:00 - 17:30 Monday to Thursday; 9:00 - 17:00 Friday.

We’re the UK’s largest canal charity, looking after 2,000 miles of canals and rivers across England and Wales. Our work gives wildlife a home, helps nature recover, keeps history alive and brings free, open and accessible blue and green space to the doorsteps of millions of people.

The team you’ll be joining is small and agile, working with colleagues from across the organisation to produce and deliver marketing and communications materials. We act as the guardians of the brand and provide guidance, tools, systems and resources to ensure consistent communication of our visual and verbal identity.

You’ll support the brand manager and marketing services manager to look after and manage the brand, playing a vital role in delivering creative service excellence to a wide range of colleagues. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing requests to our brand inbox for new leaflets, reports, templates and illustrations.
  • Working closely with colleagues to brief photographers, design agencies and freelancers.
  • Keeping our image and film library current and our brand guidelines up-to-date.
  • Updating and creating new digital and print templates for marketing materials.
  • Making small edits to documents using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Quality checking designs for brand alignment, creative oversights and typos.
  • Briefing design agencies, printers, photographers and filmmakers.
  • Supporting colleagues in their agency needs and encouraging the use of our roster of designers, printers, photographers and filmmakers.
  • Managing the production of creative materials to support marketing and fundraising campaigns.
  • Leading on brand inbox management and responding to requests.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders and sending brand updates to agency partners.
  • Assisting with pulling together the quarterly metrics report for the Marketing Services team.
  • Encouraging brand best practices by providing practical advice to colleagues.

About you:

  • Experience working in a similar design and creative production marketing services role.
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar creative marketing role.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Strong organisational skills, detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
  • Friendly, confident personality.
