Project Quality Inspector

Position Title: Project Quality Inspector

Summary:
The Project Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials, components, and products to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards and technical specifications. This position plays a crucial role in preventing defective or nonconforming materials from entering customer sites by conducting thorough QC checks, Inspections, assessments and maintaining accurate Quality documentation. The role is supporting the company's quality assurance efforts during peak periods or specific project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify incoming materials, components, and products against established quality standards and technical specifications.
- Utilize standard measuring instruments or tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to perform precise inspections of received items.
- Record inspection results in the company’s quality database, ensuring accuracy and detail in documentation.
- Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities in incoming materials and input findings into the quality database.
- Collaborate with the Project team, Quality team, and other Internal Stakeholders to resolve any quality issues or concerns as needed.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of inspections, including detailed descriptions and photographic evidence of defects or non-conformities.
- Support the ongoing improvement of receiving inspection procedures by providing feedback and suggestions for better efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations, quality protocols, and company policies during inspection activities.
- Contribute to Project Quality investigations, quality analysis and closure of relevant NCRs and corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Project Quality Engineer to maintain high quality standards and assist in continuously improving project quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in quality inspection or related fields are a plus.
- Preferred experience as a QC Inspector or similar role in quality control or materials inspection.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, methods, and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, technical drawings, and inspection specifications.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in inspection and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools and software is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
