The LTSA Service Manager is responsible for the full-service delivery lifecycle of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) across utility-scale BESS projects, including client management, contract execution, service provider oversight, performance reporting, site operations, spare parts management, and warranty claims. This role acts as the key point of contact for clients, operations, and suppliers, ensuring that projects meet all contractual, safety, and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the negotiation of LTSAs with the client/owner and sub-LTSAs with service providers.
- Prepare and review detailed scopes of work for service providers and equipment suppliers.
- Ensure sites are operated in accordance with contractual requirements, achieving capacity and availability guarantees.
- Manage service providers and equipment suppliers to keep maintenance requirements met, maintaining equipment uptime as per contractual obligations and manufacturer specifications.
- Recommend opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
- Review and approve maintenance reports.
- Determine spare part requirements and ensure inventory is tracked and processed.
- Analyze performance data to determine root cause and performance trends.
- Review monthly reports from service providers.
- Assist with preparation of monthly reports to client/owner and present performance metrics and KPIs.
- Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to project success.
- Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Ensure all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
- Manage contractors and their performance.
- Assist with the capacity and balancing testing of batteries.
- Manage liquidated damages and excludable events.
- Serve as the primary client-facing representative, attending client meetings and managing queries.
- Work alongside the operations service manager, field services supervisor, and coordinator to ensure technicians complete work to client expectations.
- Create and manage monthly operations reports and other management reports.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee the management of Preventative, Corrective, and Reactive maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) degree or diploma.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management in renewable power generation or a service environment that includes electrical, controls, and network communication systems.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management, and consensus building skills.
- Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and photovoltaic or energy storage system applications is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality.
- Professional-level capabilities with project management tools (e.g., MS 365 and Microsoft Project).
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to domestic locations as needed per project.
- Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
