JOB PURPOSE
As a Director, Senior Business Systems Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and shaping business application developments that drive CIBC’s success. As a technical leader, you’ll interpret complex business and technical information, advise on technology solutions, and influence key decisions across the organization. A significant focus of your role will be on advanced problem solving and troubleshooting, where you’ll address challenging issues, resolve critical incidents, and proactively identify areas for improvement. You’ll consult with senior management and cross-functional teams, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices. Your expertise will help optimize resources, support strategic planning, and ensure the successful adoption of new or enhanced systems. Your leadership and analytical skills will have a major impact on business strategy and operational efficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead complex problem solving and incident resolution for high-impact FX technology and business system issues.
- Provide technical and advisory support to senior stakeholders on technology solutions, functionality, and best practices.
- Drive solution design and implementation for enhancements across enterprise applications, balancing immediate needs and long-term business value.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align solutions to business objectives, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Support strategy and resource optimization by helping prioritize work, improve processes, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Enable change adoption by supporting the rollout of new or enhanced systems and ensuring smooth operational transition.
