The city of Surrey is the fastest growing city in British Columbia. Surrey's vibrant diversity significantly shapes its social and cultural landscape. A substantial Punjabi community influences local businesses, places of worship, and festivals. The population of Surrey is 620,000 with South Asians comprising 38%. Some 30% identify as Punjabi-Canadians so you can expect your patients to reflect the community. GP's who we have placed in Surrey before often say "the Indian food in Surrey restaurants is better than in India." Local grocers have extensive native foods supplies. For your children, there are excellent schools including colleges and universities. Nearby Simon Fraser University is soon opening a new medical college.
You will soon own a lovely home, have an outstanding work-life balance, and as a family you can enjoy the natural beauty of Canada together. Walking, cycling, hiking, swimming, boating and fishing are all possible in the clean Canadian air!
