The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

To manage an assigned Group Protection proposition, overseeing the maintenance and governance of the current product and proposition, as well as leading on all proposition development related to the assigned product set. This includes changes to current products and launching new products. The role holder will be a specialist in the Group Protection and Employee Benefits market.

What You'll Do

  • Proposition Strategy: Collaborate with Head of Proposition, Protection SLT and other stakeholders to develop, publish and articulate our strategy and development roadmap for the assigned proposition. This includes conducting market research, analysis and preparing papers and presentations for onward communication.
  • Proposition Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the assigned proposition, including customer and intermediary troubleshooting, monitoring regular customer outcomes MI and determining appropriate actions to maintain or improve outcomes for customers. Complete comprehensive Product Reviews at the appropriate frequency, determining necessary actions and managing those actions to completion. Work closely with various internal stakeholders (including IT, Change, 1st and 2nd line Risk & Compliance) to identify and implement small proposition changes when appropriate to meet commercial goals and improve customer outcomes. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing (and third parties where necessary) to deliver marketing campaigns which improve awareness of proposition features and improve outcomes for customers, including the regular review and approval of product literature. Collaborate with other Proposition Managers across CLUK to contribute and agree best practices for Product Lifecycle Management and other Product Governance tasks.
  • Proposition Development: Lead on all Proposition Development projects related to the assigned proposition, including creating and managing working groups, project plans, collaborating with various internal stakeholders and managing all actions to successful completion, including required product governance. This can include major changes to existing propositions or the development of new propositions.
  • Third Party Supplier Management: Manage and oversee all third parties who provide services to our customers as part of our proposition. This includes day-to-day troubleshooting and escalations, reviewing regular MI, agreeing incremental change and all contract owner tasks and supplier reviews as appropriate. Conduct regular research and monitor the market for new third party services, engaging with new suppliers to understand the scope of their services and how it may benefit our customers.
  • Market Research: Collaborate with Data & Insight teams to commission and review the outcome of customer and intermediary research, including making recommendations for potential change. Conduct regular competitor and market research to help inform the proposition development roadmap for the assigned proposition, spot opportunities and/or address gaps.
  • Internal & External Communications: Be the 'voice of the proposition' both internally to communicate small and large changes to all stakeholders and wider teams, and externally to intermediaries, customers and the wider market. This can include presenting proposition changes to small customer groups and facilitating customer feedback sessions and other intermediary and customer activity needed to support the proposition.

Who You Are

  • Specialist experience of the Group Protection, Healthcare and/or Employee Benefits markets.
  • Experience developing new market and/or product strategies.
  • A detailed understanding of the product development process and associated product governance.
  • A skilled communicator, able to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and present new propositions to gain buy-in and generate excitement.
  • Experience managing projects, including leading others over whom you have no direct responsibility.
  • Some leadership skills with a willingness to develop further would be preferable.
  • Technical Group Protection product knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with employer customers and/or intermediaries would also be an advantage.

Qualifications: Degree education or equivalent (Desirable).
