Job Purpose
The role holder will support a pipeline of schemes transitioning to Buy-Out. This includes engagement with potential prospects i.e. via Employee Benefits Consultants, supporting Transition Consultants transferring the portfolio to Canada Life and migrating the data to our systems. They will have relationships with external parties across the industry in order to help transition the scheme and maintain existing relationships. Utilising their relationships to seek market feedback and providing recommendations on how to evolve our processes to improve outcomes for our members.
Key Accountabilities
- Support a portfolio of pension risk transfer transactions transitioning from an initial engagement to on-boarding. Working with a team of Transition Consultants and a contact for the Employee Benefits Consultants / Trustees throughout the end to end process. This person will take work with the various stakeholders with the transaction to manage the scheme through the full life cycle of the process. Facilitate the writing of good quality business in order to achieve or exceed agreed standards within agreed SLA and expectations of corporate clients. They will use their knowledge of Bulk Annuities to support Canada Life as a provider, understand what is achievable i.e. within legal or regulatory requirements and within the scope of services available, and the risks and challenges of taking on-board a particular client / portfolio. Working alongside the Pricing, Legal team, Finance and broader Operational Teams to ensure the contract is correctly administered, benefits understood, on-boarded to Aptia systems and we meet operational requirements agreed within the legal agreement. They will collaborate with the various internal and external stakeholder to support the project management the transition of the portfolio to Canada Life, working closely with the broader Operational Team to transfer the work across.
- Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with Employee Benefit Consultants during the schemes transition to Buy-Out. Building long term business relationships. Including regular telephone calls and face to face external meetings to both Trustees and Corporate Clients.
- To be proactive in enhancing the process and support the administration of the scheme as they safely transition to By-Out. This will include the review of benefit specifications to ensure we can administer the agreed benefits. The role holder will also need to reconcile payroll to ensure we continue to pay benefits in line with our contractual obligations.
- Contribute to ensure the business is managed throughout the end to end process to ensure SLA and client expectations are exceeded. Develop good working relationships with internal departments, (Marketing, Sales Support, Compliance, Pricing, Aptia and Operations Teams) in order to enhance the Canada Life offering and the sales process.
- Customer facing including face to face meetings with internal and external including our senior leadership team. Working alongside the Legal, Finance, Actuarial, Sales and Marketing teams to prepare content and present at Trustee meetings.
- Proactively seek proposition and process feedback from the market, assess any changes that may be appropriate and communicating the recommendation and context to administration manager senior leadership team to enhance our proposition within the de-risking marketplace.
