Job Summary
- Working within the Investment Operations area of the European Investment Financial Services which provides professional Investment Services to multiple clients in respect to Assets Under Administration.
- The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the above objective by supporting an Investment Supervisor and assisting in the oversight of their Operational Team as required to provide consistent professional quality services to clients in line with benchmarks per service level agreements, internal policies and external regulations.
- Services provided include Asset Servicing functions, Valuation, settlement, Unit Pricing, Investment systems support etc. Success in the job will be evidenced by contributions to day‑to‑day operational performance and KPI’s (eg. Timely Publication of Unit Prices, minimal business errors / Losses etc) as well as contributions to Continuous Process Improvement. The results of the team are measured using a Balanced Scorecard and individual objectives and performance are captured in a Personal Development Plan.
- This role should ensure the Investment Supervisor of the team is not required to perform day‑to‑day operational tasks and instead is able to focus on Supervisor Level Duties.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the oversight of the daily operation of the team by co‑ordinating and reviewing daily investment operational tasks/key controls as required to deliver consistent quality services in line with benchmarks as per Service Level Agreements.
- Help to develop and maintain effective training programme (eg. procedure notes, workshops, induction programmes) and provide training to others within the team.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall process. Implement continuous process improvements & contribute to projects to meet customer needs and company objectives. Ensure controls are maintained and documentation kept up to date in line with internal and external policy/requirements (eg. ICOFR).
- Prepare KPI – help produce, implement and report key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the team and ensure service standards are met.
- Perform daily investment operational tasks as required to deliver consistent quality services in line with benchmarks as per Service Level Agreements (10%).
- Contribute to departmental objectives, providing leadership and promoting a positive working environment.
- Pro‑actively prevent, identify, and resolve issues and errors (including assisting other team members with problem solving and issue management) in a timely manner reporting and escalating issues and risks as appropriate.
