Job Summary
To provide Administrative Support to the Underwriting Research, Development and Standards Team in a timely and accurate manner. Assisting the Team with all aspects of the Underwriting Research, Development and Standards Team tasks including Offshore death claims/notification assessments, recommending a reasoned opinion whilst working towards attaining a Claims Authority Limit.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Death Assessment Worksheets in respect of Offshore Protection Claims and Death Notifications in a timely, accurate and risk focussed manner.
- Work with the relevant Reinsurers and other third parties and colleagues as part of the claims/assessment process.
- Offer a reasoned opinion initially whilst working towards attaining an Offshore Claims Authority Limit in respect of deaths received on Flexible Life Plans and CanProtect whole of life plans.
- Review Donor Questionnaires/Declarations of Health and complete Discounted Gift Trust Worksheets with relevant information.
- Input relevant medical evidence requirements as instructed and liaise with colleagues/clients/IFA's/third parties in pursuit of these.
- Manage the Onshore & Offshore Underwriting e-mail Inboxes and email triaging.
- Ad hoc responsibilities/project involvement on request from Chief Underwriter and other members of the team.
- Assist with data integrity tasks, reviewing and reconciling data held, scanning and deleting documents where necessary to ensure data held complies with retention policies.
- Meeting minutes writing.
- Responsible for administrative tasks related to Annuities Underwriting Sampling and Offshore Protection/Wealth products.
- Assist Annuity Senior Underwriters with quote and application referrals, underwriting data reconciliation, medical fees reconciliation and risk/compliance processes as required.
- A Team player in a varied role whilst also able to work with minimum supervision.
