We are looking for a Regional Account Manager to support the growth of the business within our Wealth Management function, as a market leading International Investment Bond and Tax and Estate Planning provider to the UK Wealth Advisory market. This is a field-based role covering a geographical region that includes the West Midlands, Gloucestershire and Mid/South Wales.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage a defined number of adviser firms within a geographic area in conjunction with a Telephone Account Manager.
- Panel management includes daily/weekly face-to-face activity, virtual meetings, effective follow-up of quotes, webinars, events, leads and campaigns driven through Salesforce.
- Deliver or exceed sales targets with a suitable spread across Canada Life's wealth product areas.
- Develop strong relationships with professional advisers within the allocated firms to maximise sales of Canada Life wealth products and increase market share.
- Implement and execute a clear contact strategy to ensure all advisers within the region are contacted.
- Maintain a high level of technical and industry knowledge in Canada Life's International product range.
- Achieve and maintain competency under the Distribution T&C Scheme.
- Develop an approach to account planning including research, competitor analysis, generating quotes, deal options, and business generation initiatives.
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills:
- Previous experience in a face-to-face sales role in financial services with a proven track record of delivering sales targets.
- Experience working with financial advisers and understanding their operations.
- An understanding of the UK taxation system and the International bond market.
- The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
- Previous experience using a CRM system, such as Salesforce.
- The ability to form strong professional relationships with adviser firms.
Qualifications:
- CII Diploma in Financial Planning – Level 4 (or a desire to progress towards).
