The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.

As the Digital Product Owner, you will support the setting of the strategic direction for the relevant business area, and then actively work with the agile product delivery team to translate that strategy into reality. You will be responsible for achieving business outcomes and act as the voice of the customer within an agile delivery team. You will ensure that the team maximises the value delivered by aligning the vision and business outcomes to a roadmap and backlog you own.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the product roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment with the vision and business outcomes.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the agile delivery team and maximise value delivery while balancing long-term product health.
  • Gather and interpret feedback from customers, advisers, and colleagues and maintain open feedback channels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify the problem to be solved and potential approaches to the solution; agree the vision for the delivery team with the Sponsor.
  • Drive the creation and maintenance of the product roadmap and ensure work is well-informed and meets acceptance criteria.
  • Champion the customer/user perspective, ensuring alignment to product and company strategy and driving strong customer outcomes.
  • Iterate from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration; validate implementations against acceptance criteria.
  • Support the technical experts in driving the architectural runway that underpins the product.
  • Collaborate with the agile delivery team to communicate the vision, answer questions, share feedback, and participate in team events such as iteration planning and retrospectives.
  • Author presentations and represent the delivery team’s work to senior leadership.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across the company to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Design and run experiments to validate hypotheses in a low-risk manner, using data to inform backlog and roadmap priorities.
  • Support the organisation in its ongoing transformation to become more agile and customer-focused.
  • Organise and participate in communities of practice and share learnings with colleagues.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge/experience in the relevant business domain, including regulatory considerations.
  • General financial services industry experience.
  • Experience working as a Product Owner.
  • Proven track record of delivering tangible business outcomes and championing their value internally at all levels of the organisation.
  • Effective communication skills suitable for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify what data should be collected and reported to support decision making.
  • Experience working as part of an agile team and familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Experience supporting an organisation through an agile transformation.
  • Strong business acumen, with proficiency in identifying, tracking, and acting upon metrics; designing tests; and collaborating with engineering/data science partners.
