Position Title: 310T/310J or Apprentice (Afternoon Shift)
Duration: Full-time
Type of Employment: Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Afternoon 15:00 to 23:00
We are looking for a dependable, safety oriented licensed 310T or 310J mechanic or apprentice who is responsible for servicing and maintaining company equipment by using standard "Best Practices" and providing guidance to apprentices. Responsibilities will encompass diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting repairs, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to keep our fleet in optimal condition. Additionally, will collaborate with the maintenance team, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to minimizing downtime and maximizing the efficiency of our trucking services.
Responsibilities
- Perform Scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections and repairs.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Work towards meeting industry standard repair times for assigned repairs.
- Train on and stay current with new technologies.
- Maintain work areas of shop to meet health and safety standards.
- Communicate issue/concerns to managers as needed.
- Will be required to work occasionally on weekends.
Requirements
- Certified 310T or 310J mechanic or apprentice with sound knowledge of shop practices.
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems while working with SRT.
- Self-motivated with a desire to meet and surpass company standards.
- Ability to use a computer to manage electronic punch times and payroll.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
- Exposed to exhaust gases vibrations, chemicals and shop noise.
- Ability to perform heavy work such as removing tractor wheel assemblies (120lbs).
