The predicted salary is between 22000 - 30000 Β£ per year.
To provide a key role supporting and maintaining some of the core CWM applications, hardware and services. Specifically providing support via the company helpdesk, ensuring requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently, providing an excellent service to users.
Role responsibilities:
- Monitoring the Canaccord helpdesk and answering telephone/Teams queries β prioritising and escalating support as required.
- Ensure procedures are created and kept up to date for any key IT processes.
- Supporting office printers, copiers and scanners, working with third party suppliers to ensure consumables are ordered in a timely manner and liaising when faults arise.
- Set up new computers in accordance with group specifications.
- Manage starters and leavers using established processes and within set timescales.
- Perform daily call recording tests on various platforms.
- Working on group led projects and ensuring that these projects are completed in the time specified and to the highest possible quality.
- Liaise with system suppliers and manufacturers for support purposes.
- To provide out of hours support on occasions depending upon work demands.
- Ensuring that all servers/workstations in the Canaccord Wealth Management domain are patched according to group standards and that devices that are not compliant or have security issues are remediated.
- Ensure all hardware has an Asset tag, maintain the Hardware Asset database on the intranet and perform annual audit of equipment.
- Order new software/hardware when approved and as required.
- Prepare, test and implement systems solutions to meet new business requirements when directed.
- Set up, maintain and monitor remote user access in accordance with agreed practice.
- Maintain a (low key) watching brief on new developments in IT that may be of assistance to the business.
- Assist with presentation and video conferencing equipment in meeting rooms when necessary.
- Assist with network cabling and office moves as required.
- Assist with other duties as required.
- Provide cover for other IT staff as required.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed to ensure the protection of client and personal data, that appropriate security measures are in place, and to comply with GDPR.
- Carry out any other relevant duties within the remit of the role and as reasonably directed by management.
- Be proactive in developing knowledge of the industry and the market. Undertake and record relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to develop knowledge and skills.
