Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plant Technician located in Chesterfield. The Plant Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operations. Daily tasks include conducting routine inspections, handling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. The role also involves collaborating with teams to minimize downtime and ensure the effective functioning of all machinery.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
- Proficiency in conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Understanding of safety standards, regulations, and industry practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues on-site
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good record-keeping and organizational skills for maintaining accurate maintenance logs
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or engineering fields
- Prior experience in geotechnical, construction, or specialized equipment repair is advantageous
