The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The CAN Group of companies are leading providers in Engineering, Integrity, Inspection and Maintenance solutions to the energy industry worldwide. We are currently looking to recruit a full time experienced Structural Engineer to work in our office to support our expanding contract portfolio.

The successful candidate will provide Structural support on an adhoc basis across several client contracts as required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated significant relevant industry experience with quantifiable structural inspection related work history.

Responsibilities shall include:

  • Development of Structural Inspection scopes in line with Client’s asset plan
  • Risk Based Assessment of all structural components
  • Technical review of inspection results & identified defects on structural elements
  • Making appropriate recommendations for remedial actions

Successful candidates must possess the following:

Qualifications:
  • Degree/post grad qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant Technical discipline
  • Attainment of or working towards IEng/CEng categorisation
Skills/Experience:
  • Experience of Structural Integrity Management of offshore platforms
  • Proficient in interpreting & applying Structural Integrity Management Systems (SIMS)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills
  • Well-developed negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Experience of technical data handling systems
  • Familiarity with Design Engineering Practices (DEP) and safety case requirements
  • Competence in use of computer packages (MS Office, etc.)
  • Positive approach to Compliance Issues (Quality, Health & Safety)
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritise work effectively
  • Good time management skills
  • Demonstrate all round skills and related technical competency
  • Proficient report writing skills

Candidates should live within commuting distance of CAN’s Aberdeen Office and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
