The CAN Group of companies are leading providers in Engineering, Integrity, Inspection and Maintenance solutions to the energy industry worldwide. We are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer for a role in our Operations department within our Aberdeen Headquarters. This role is a full-time position working Monday to Friday; overtime may be required as well as offshore and nationwide travel as part of the role.
Key Duties of the role include:
- To ensure that all allocated projects are set-up well, organised, run and supported properly so that they operate safely and effectively.
- Successfully participate in management of allocated projects by providing a cost effective, reliable, quality service to customers that satisfies their budget and work scope requirements in accordance with Company systems, procedures and processes.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable relevant experience within the energy industry.
- Qualification in an Engineering, Science or Business discipline preferred but not essential.
- Ability to fully interpret customer work-scopes.
- Ability to pass the mandatory medical and offshore survival training.
- Willingness to travel to offshore and onshore sites if/when required.
- Willingness and capability to build on existing skills and develop professionally.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment.
- Good presentation and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in an Operations role.
- Flexible in approach and ability to work as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and results driven.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant onshore/offshore legislation.
- Working knowledge and experience of NDT techniques would be advantageous.
- Understanding of budget control and project management principles.
- Demonstrable skills in project control, equipment management & producing of reports.
- Experience using databases & Microsoft office packages.
Candidates should live within commuting distance of CAN’s Aberdeen Office and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
