We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee NDT Technician for a development role in our Base NDT department at our Aberdeen facility. As well as working within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, the successful candidate will enjoy structured training and career development in the field of NDT.

Some of the key duties of the role include:

  • To advance training and qualifications in NDT techniques and applications as required by the Company.
  • To attain: MPI Level 2, DPI Level 2, IRATA Rope Access Level 1, Ultrasonic or Radiography Level 1 or 2 and gain experience using these techniques.
  • Undertake briefings to ensure unambiguous understanding of responsibilities and work scope for onsite/BASE inspection.
  • Compile and prepare CAN reports and ensure they are satisfactory to client requirements. Reports must be issued within 24 hours or less.

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Good educational background with Higher Grade (or equivalent) passes in English, Mathematics and a Science / Technology based subject.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal/client interfacing skills.
  • Possess a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles & practices.
