We are recruiting for an experienced Corrosion Engineer to be based in Aberdeen at our client’s city centre office. The position will be full-time office-based working within a major operator.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Degree/Postgraduate qualified in an engineering related discipline
- Chartered/Incorporated status desirable
- Extensive demonstrable experience working within Corrosion/Materials environment ideally in a Corrosion Management role
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant onshore/offshore legislation, codes and standards associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems, plant and equipment
- Working knowledge and experience of NDT and Specialist Inspection techniques
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (particularly Word/Excel)
- Demonstrable experience in RBA / CRA / WSEs
- Ability to use and experience of bespoke databases
- Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal/client facing skills
- Report writing experience with strong attention to details
- Ability to use initiative and direct and guide other team members
- Ability to travel offshore if/when required
