We are recruiting for an experienced Corrosion Engineer to be based in Aberdeen at our client’s city centre office. The position will be full-time office-based working within a major operator.

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Degree/Postgraduate qualified in an engineering related discipline
  • Chartered/Incorporated status desirable
  • Extensive demonstrable experience working within Corrosion/Materials environment ideally in a Corrosion Management role
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant onshore/offshore legislation, codes and standards associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems, plant and equipment
  • Working knowledge and experience of NDT and Specialist Inspection techniques
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (particularly Word/Excel)
  • Demonstrable experience in RBA / CRA / WSEs
  • Ability to use and experience of bespoke databases
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal/client facing skills
  • Report writing experience with strong attention to details
  • Ability to use initiative and direct and guide other team members
  • Ability to travel offshore if/when required
