AVEVA is creating software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies. The successful candidate will work in the CONNECT Portfolio team reporting to the Director of Portfolio, CONNECT Common Services. The role is responsible for product management across AVEVA’s Cloud Operations and Infrastructure (COI) domain — the shared platform, cloud infrastructure, and operational practices that underpin every capability delivered on CONNECT.

As Product Manager for COI, you will champion cloud operational readiness across the organisation, helping evolve AVEVA’s SaaS operational effectiveness. You will act as the connective tissue between the teams that build and operate the platform — R&D, Delivery, Commercial Operations, and Support — and the capability teams that depend on it, reducing friction, accelerating delivery, and making cloud readiness a natural, built-in part of how capabilities are designed and delivered.

The role spans three connected areas: the developer platform and enablement tooling that teams build, test, and deploy with; the organisation-wide cloud-readiness that raises confidence and value across the portfolio; and the underlying cloud infrastructure and cloud estate foundations that CONNECT services run on. You will discover, distil, prioritise, and translate requirements from across these areas into a clear, measurable roadmap, and create organisational transparency into COI’s delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead product management for the COI domain, spanning the developer platform and shared development infrastructure, cloud-readiness practices, and the foundational cloud infrastructure and estate that powers CONNECT services.
  • Drive timely adoption of cloud-operational readiness practices within capability definition and planning, working alongside Portfolio and R&D.
  • Partner with Value Realization (VR) owners, Development and Delivery teams, and leadership to understand short- and long-term needs.
  • Turn requirements from the field and stakeholders into actionable, scoped, and measurable deliverables with clear success criteria.
  • Guide and assist teams in supporting operational and shared platform needs, reducing friction in deployment pipelines and accelerating release cycles.
  • Maintain and enhance the foundational infrastructure that development teams across services rely on to build, test, and deploy efficiently.
  • Working across the organisation to ensure that capabilities are observable and with defined service level metrics.
  • Identify and enable delivery of new infrastructure components and practices that support Value Realization initiatives across the CONNECT domains.
  • Validate that COI deliverables are fit for purpose, and that service descriptions and definitions are standard, accurate, and consistent across the platform.
  • Host a regular SaaS Operational Readiness forum spanning COI, R&D, Commercial Operations, and Support to align priorities, track progress, and maintain transparent communication of roadmaps and delivery plans.

Measures of Success

  • Increased cloud-operational awareness, confidence, and value across the organisation.
  • Faster, more reliable cloud delivery across service domains through streamlined, consistent deployment practices.
  • Reduced time-to-adopt and improved time-to-market for new and existing capabilities achieving cloud readiness.
  • Scalable, stable CONNECT infrastructure foundations that capability teams can build on with confidence.

Essential requirements

  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, SaaS delivery models, and what it takes to operate services reliably at scale.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and the practices that make development teams productive.
  • Understanding of cloud readiness, reliability, and the operational disciplines that underpin a mature SaaS platform.
  • Awareness of AI/ML operations and how they can improve efficiency across platform and delivery workflows.

Stakeholder Influence & Communication

  • Proven ability to align and motivate teams across functions without direct reporting lines.
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong ability to guide discussions, build consensus, and resolve competing priorities.
  • Ability to articulate the value of cloud readiness and platform investment to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Analytical & Prioritisation Skills

  • Ability to use metrics and analytics to prioritise investment and demonstrate impact.
  • Ability to take ambiguous, multi-source input and turn it into clear, scoped, measurable deliverables.
  • Ability to balance short-term and long-term investment to optimise platform capabilities.

Planning & Operational Excellence

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain roadmaps, groom backlogs, and communicate delivery plans transparently.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Additional Requirements

  • Previous product management experience, ideally in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or internal-enablement domains.
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse teams both functionally and geographically.
  • Flexibility to travel.
