This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with an interest in paediatric diabetes, clinical trials, and translational medicine to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at improving outcomes for children and young people at risk of, or living with, Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). The postholder will join a vibrant paediatric diabetes research programme focused on understanding the natural history of Type 1 Diabetes and developing strategies for earlier diagnosis, disease prevention, and improved treatment. The programme includes national and international collaborations and a diverse portfolio of interventional and observational studies involving children, young people, and their families.• Identification and monitoring of individuals at increased risk of developing T1D• Studies of early-stage and pre-symptomatic T1D• Prevention and disease-modifying intervention trials• Longitudinal observational studies investigating disease progression and clinical outcomesThe Research Associate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of principal investigators, research nurses, trial coordinators, contributing to the delivery of high-quality clinical research while developing their own academic and clinical research expertise.The successful applicants will also be encouraged and supported to develop and lead a research project of their own over the time in the post.
