This is a key role in this friendly Department as you will be the first point of contact for staff, students and visitors in a very large, busy reception office, covering a varied and vast number of duties. This includes providing postal, courier, and all administrative services; providing secretarial work to a small panel of academics, and maintaining the Mifare security system.The successful applicant will have GCSE's in English and Mathematics and will be computer literate. Recent reception experience is essential, as is maintaining the Mifare security system. A word processing qualification would be desirable but not essential. You will have good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills plus being able to use your own initiative, meet deadlines, keep calm under pressure, multi-task and prioritise.
