Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Village Operations Manager to join us atECU Villages, on a one yearcontractedfull-time basis.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Village Operations Manager is responsible for the operations and day to day running of the village, supporting and leading 3 WA ECU Village sites and ensuringquality and service within the village is maintained to standard for all stakeholders.
This role is primarily based between our Mount Lawley and Joondalup sites, with occasional oversight visits to our Bunbury campus as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and direction to the Village team
- Responsible for leading the emergency management response for the village as needed
- Oversee the operations and day to day running of the village
- Manage and supervise the village budgets and finances to ensure the village meets its agreed financial objectives
- Ensure compliance with all agreements, lease agreements and contracts pertaining to the facilities
- Manage all People and Culture issues, including recruitment, induction, training and performance management in conjunction with the People and Culture team
- Plan and implement marketing and sales plan in conjunction with Marketing team
- Develop and maintain formal and informal relationships with universities, with University Senior Management, creditors, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Have dedication to the university partner
- Committed to delivering positive student life
- Facilitate and assist in driving an extensive short stay accommodation program
- All other reasonable duties from time to time as directed by the Regional General Manager.
- The responsibilities of this role may evolve based on the changing needs of our residents and the business. We seek candidates who are adaptable and open to taking on new challenges as they arise.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualification
- Experience in an operational management role in a service-based industry
- Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate accurate financial information
- Ability to lead, manage and direct staff and contractors in the operation of their duties
- Ability and willingness to participate fully in the cultural, pastoral and recreational life of the village
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management system, systems such as StarRez
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in hotel, real estate or business management
- Current National Police Clearance Check
