Your Role, Your Impact
As National Account Manager, you will act as a partner to some of the UK’s biggest housebuilders, deepening relationships, ensuring operational excellence across regions, and driving new business opportunities. This national role is critical in strengthening FirstPort’s presence at both group and regional levels, ensuring consistent service delivery and proactive client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Become the internal expert for your allocated clients by leading the end-to-end management of key national developer accounts, ensuring consistent service delivery and standards across all regions.
- Coordinate, prepare, and deliver internal and external reporting to keep all stakeholders aligned.
- Collate and maintain regional action plans, track progress, and hold internal teams accountable for delivery.
- Serve as a central point of escalation for matters affecting regional offices, ensuring swift resolution and clear communication.
- Foster, strengthen and expand relationships within client organisations, from regional teams to senior leadership and group-level decision makers.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives—such as Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and training programmes for Resident Management Company (RMC) directors.
- Act as an enabler for regional growth by opening doors, nurturing new contacts, and supporting local teams in winning new instructions.
- Confidently present and raise awareness of industry matters, such as estate management best practice, or legislative change, to the client’s organisation, positioning FirstPort as a trusted adviser.
- Prepare for, attend, and contribute to C-suite and executive-level meetings.
- Confidently lead meetings with senior stakeholders, ensuring clear outcomes, follow-up, and value-add insights.
- Deliver structured updates, insight reports, and recommendations that support client ambitions and reinforce FirstPort’s strategic partnership.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in residential real estate, either on managing agent or developer side.
- Proven success in building relationships with senior stakeholders, ideally within the new build sector.
- Strong knowledge of developer needs and expectations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
