Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (35 hours per week)

We are continually looking for talented professionals to join our Service Charge teams across multiple locations. Your Role, Your Impact

As a Service Charge Accountant you will manage and oversee service charge accounts for residential and commercial properties, including budgeting, reconciliation, and reporting. This role ensures compliance with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all budgets are issued on time, accurate, and of highest quality.
  • Deliver to department productivity metrics and contribute to the team and organisational goals.
  • Analyse financial reports, including income, expenditure, and the balance sheet.
  • Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
  • Assist in driving and improving performance through analysis of deviations from forecasts and budgets.
  • Support Operations to understand and communicate Service Charge Finance.
  • Strengthen relationships with Operations through refined and simplified processes.
  • Maintain clear and accurate communications to line manager and the wider business.
  • Take full responsibility for your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes, or feedback from colleagues and external parties.
  • Perform any other tasks as and when required to enable smooth running of the department.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of service charge accounting and financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (property management software is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
