We’re entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a hire who can help build and scale a high-performing acquisition and retention engine. As our Performance Marketing Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving measurable growth, with a primary focus on email marketing, CRM automation, and lifecycle performance, alongside oversight of paid media channels. You’ll own the strategy, execution, and optimisation of automated customer journeys across acquisition, nurture, retention, and reactivation ensuring we maximise customer engagement, conversion, and lifetime value. At the same time, you’ll bring strong hands-on experience across paid channels to help drive efficient customer acquisition and support broader growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Email Marketing & Marketing Automation (Primary Focus)
- Own and optimise end-to-end email marketing strategy across acquisition, onboarding, retention, re-engagement, and win-back campaigns.
- Build, manage, and optimise automated customer journeys and lifecycle workflows.
- Develop audience segmentation and personalisation strategies to improve engagement and conversion.
- Create and execute email testing strategies across subject lines, messaging, creative, offers, and send times.
- Manage CRM database health, customer segmentation, and data hygiene.
- Monitor key lifecycle KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Work closely with content and design teams to develop high-performing lifecycle campaigns.
- Paid Media Management
- Manage and optimise paid acquisition campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, and other relevant channels.
- Execute campaign setup, audience targeting, bid optimisation, and budget allocation.
- Manage retargeting campaigns across paid social and display platforms.
- Continuously test creatives, audiences, and bidding strategies to improve CAC and ROAS.
- Analytics & Performance Optimisation
- Build dashboards and deliver actionable performance insights.
- Identify growth opportunities through experimentation and ongoing optimisation.
- Partner with product, content, design, and commercial teams to align campaigns with business objectives.
- Manage external agencies where needed while maintaining ownership of performance outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, with strong expertise in email marketing, CRM automation, and lifecycle marketing.
- Hands-on experience with email/CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Mailchimp, or similar.
- Proven experience building automated lifecycle campaigns that drive measurable retention and revenue growth.
- Experience managing campaigns across paid media and paid social.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve efficiency and workflows.
