Contract: 12 Month FTC
We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our HR team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to operate as a centre of expertise within HR, shaping and governing the frameworks, policies and processes that underpin employee relations across the organisation.
This role will suit someone who enjoys designing and improving frameworks, managing complex investigations and supporting large-scale organisational change, rather than handling high volumes of day-to-day ER casework.
As Employee Relations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our HR and employee relations practices are consistent, legally compliant and practical for managers and HR teams to apply. You will design and govern ER policies and processes used across the organisation, while also supporting complex investigations and organisational change programmes where specialist expertise or independence is required.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain HR and Employee Relations policies, frameworks and guidance
- Ensure policies are legally compliant and aligned with employment law best practice
- Develop and govern ER processes covering disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence and investigations
- Lead complex or sensitive investigations, including discrimination, harassment or whistleblowing matters
- Design frameworks and toolkits to support organisational restructures and redundancy programmes
- Create practical guidance, templates and toolkits for managers and HR Advisors
- Design and deliver ER and change-related training
- Develop ER dashboards and insights to identify trends and organisational risk
- Support the design and implementation of employee forums and engagement structures
We are looking for someone who combines strong employment law knowledge with practical HR expertise and the ability to translate complex issues into clear, usable frameworks. You will likely have experience in roles such as Employee Relations Manager, Senior ER Specialist or HR Policy Lead.
You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice
- Experience designing ER frameworks, policies and governance structures
- Proven experience managing complex and sensitive investigations
- Experience supporting large-scale organisational change or restructures
- The ability to translate legal risk into clear, practical guidance and tools
- Experience working in multi-site or operational environments
