The Senior Digital Acquisition Manager will own and evolve the organisation’s email marketing and marketing automation strategy, using customer data, behavioural insights and lifecycle journeys to build a high-performing acquisition and conversion engine.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for an experienced digital specialist who wants to shape how we attract, nurture and convert customers at scale.
You will bring deep expertise in marketing automation platforms, CRM and lifecycle marketing to design sophisticated, data‑driven customer journeys that improve engagement, conversion and revenue performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end email marketing and automation strategy, including segmentation, campaign planning, execution and continuous optimisation.
- Design and manage automated lifecycle journeys (e. g. welcome, nurture, abandonment, re‑engagement and retention flows) within the marketing automation platform.
- Develop and execute advanced segmentation and personalisation strategies using behavioural, transactional and CRM data.
- Ensure email deliverability, list health and GDPR compliance, protecting sender reputation and inbox placement.
- Analyse and report on campaign and automation performance, translating insights into actionable improvements and revenue growth.
- Build and optimise customer lifecycle programmes that improve lead conversion, retention and long‑term engagement.
- Own a structured A/B and multivariate testing roadmap across email and automation journeys, embedding learnings into ongoing optimisation.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert on email and automation, partnering with stakeholders, agencies and vendors to drive performance and innovation.
Experience
- Significant experience in digital marketing with specialist expertise in email marketing and marketing automation.
- Proven experience building and optimising complex automated lifecycle journeys in platforms such as Hub Spot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo or similar.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, behavioural triggers, lifecycle marketing and personalisation at scale.
- Knowledge of email deliverability and GDPR compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into commercial outcomes.
- Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of acquisition, conversion and revenue impact.
- Confident stakeholder manager with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Experience integrating CRM systems with marketing automation platforms, including data mapping and technical implementation oversight.
- Broader performance marketing experience across channels such as PPC, paid social, SEO or affiliates.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager or Linked In Campaign Manager.
