Role Overview

The Head of Brand is responsible for leading and evolving the overall brand marketing strategy, driving brand visibility, customer engagement and commercial growth across the business. Working closely with the Marketing Director, Head of Performance Marketing and senior stakeholders, the role will guide the strategic direction of the brand function, ensuring all brand activity is integrated, commercially focused and aligned to wider business objectives. It includes the development and execution of brand strategy across PR, content, social media, advertising, sponsorships, events, local marketing and multi‑channel campaigns while leading and developing a high‑performing team. The role also plays a key part in identifying opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness, cross‑functional collaboration, brand consistency and overall team structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, manage and develop a team of 5, setting clear objectives, driving accountability and supporting long‑term development.
    • Work in close partnership with the Head of Performance Marketing to deliver integrated brand and performance strategies across all channels.
    • Oversee team structure, resource planning and prioritisation to ensure efficient delivery of campaigns and ongoing brand activity.
    • Drive operational efficiencies across processes, collaboration and agency management to improve marketing effectiveness and output.
    • Create a high‑performing, collaborative culture with clear ways of working and strong cross‑functional communication.
  • Brand Strategy & Growth
    • Lead the development and execution of the overall brand marketing strategy in line with commercial and customer objectives.
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, improve customer engagement and increase brand consideration.
    • Own strategic planning across PR, content, social media, advertising, sponsorships, events and local marketing activity.
    • Lead the delivery of integrated seasonal campaigns and multi‑channel brand initiatives.
    • Act as brand guardian across all customer touchpoints, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Content, PR & Campaign Management
    • Oversee the content strategy across all platforms.
    • Lead PR strategy and agency management to increase brand awareness, tier one media visibility and reputation.
    • Oversee social media strategy, content production and video delivery to improve engagement and reach.
    • Manage campaign development and execution across digital and offline channels, ensuring activity is insight‑led and commercially effective.
    • Oversee design resource and creative workflows to ensure high‑quality and consistent brand output.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment on priorities, campaigns and communications.
    • Own the brand marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of spend and measurable return on investment.
    • Establish clear reporting and performance frameworks across brand activity, using insights and data to optimise future strategy and campaigns.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in brand marketing, including significant leadership and team management experience.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering integrated brand marketing strategies across multiple channels.
  • Strong experience managing PR, content, campaigns, social media and wider brand communications.
  • Strong stakeholder and agency management experience within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commercially minded with experience managing budgets, reporting and marketing performance.
  • Property experience desirable but not essential.
