Campion School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the pastoral and inclusion team. The LSA will work closely with classroom teachers, providing directed support and supervision to classes. The aim of the support and guidance will be to enable all students to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion into school life, supporting them to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential.

You should have a quiet and encouraging manner with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an awareness of the importance of inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, including qualifications equivalent to Level 2 in English and Maths
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience of working in a school environment
