Senior Credit Portfolio Manager β Property Finance London | Hybrid Campion Pickworth are partnered with a leading specialist financial services business to appoint a Senior Credit Portfolio Manager within their property finance function.
This is a technical and hands-on role covering the full lifecycle of challenged and higher-risk exposures, working closely with borrowers, internal credit stakeholders and external advisers to develop and execute appropriate credit strategies.
Key responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of higher-risk and stressed property finance exposures.
Assess borrower performance, underlying security, cash flow and overall credit risk.
Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate risk and return exposures to performing status where possible.
Lead discussions with borrowers and other stakeholders to agree and implement agreed strategies.
Prepare clear credit analysis, recommendations and papers for senior approval.
Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance and delivery against agreed strategies.
Engage and manage external professional advisers where required.
Lead the transition of exposures into recovery or enforcement processes where a consensual solution cannot be achieved.
Provide regular portfolio, impairment and risk reporting to senior stakeholders.
About you: Strong experience in credit risk, portfolio management, restructuring, recoveries or special situations.
Good understanding of property-backed lending, ideally across areas such as investment, development, bridging or commercial property finance.
Able to analyse complex credit situations and translate them into practical risk mitigation strategies.
Confident dealing directly with borrowers, advisers and senior internal stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high-quality credit papers.
