Our client, a technology and management consulting company, is looking to recruit a Sales Manager in their London office. The primary responsibility of the role is to develop business and drive sales within the UK Defence Domain. The Manager will identify and manage new sales opportunities from start to finish and support colleagues in the identification of opportunities from existing accounts and projects. This is a mid to senior level role and would suit an established Sales/BD Manager looking for the next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leveraging market knowledge to support the development of Sector Business Plans and development of win strategies and campaign plans
  • Principal lead for UK Military Land Sector Sales
  • Account Management of key UK Military clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving growth
  • Developing relationships with UK Military clients and relevant industry partners to identify further growth opportunities
  • Producing effective proposal documents, pitches/presentations and RFP responses
  • Understanding the company’s software development and implementation process and providing input for innovation, as required

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Proven commercial experience in a Sales/BD role in a similarly focused organisation is highly desirable
  • Ex-military and experience of working in a training requirements or delivery organisation
  • Academic degree or other relevant education (e.g. Military Staff College)
  • Ability to build trust, value others, drive execution and foster innovation
  • Have an established network, at the appropriate level, within the UK Armed Forces and broader Defence Sector.
