We are working with a leading global consulting firm to identify a Data & AI Strategy Consultant to join its growing Wealth and Asset Management practice.
This is an opportunity for a technically strong Data professional with Financial Markets and Front Office exposure to apply their expertise to strategic and commercial challenges across financial services. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and help clients understand how Data and AI can improve decision-making, trading and wider business performance.
What You'll Be Doing
You will work with senior stakeholders across banking and financial services to:
- Develop Data & AI strategies aligned to wider business and commercial objectives
- Work closely with Front Office, Trading and Markets stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities
- Apply knowledge of trading products and financial markets, including areas such as Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Rates, Credit and Derivatives
- Analyse complex market and financial datasets to develop data-driven solutions
- Use Python and SQL to analyse data, develop models and build analytical solutions
- Design data models, analytical frameworks and quantitative solutions
- Assess existing data architectures, platforms and pipelines and identify opportunities for improvement
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and advanced analytics across areas such as pricing, trading, profitability and capital allocation
- Translate technical analysis and Front Office requirements into clear strategic recommendations
- Support clients through the development and implementation of Data & AI solutions
- Work across data engineering, analytics, modelling and AI to address complex Markets challenges
- Present findings, insights and recommendations to senior client stakeholders
- Work alongside specialists across strategy, finance, treasury, risk, quantitative modelling, trading and data science
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong data and technical capabilities with a solid understanding of Financial Markets and Front Office environments.
You should have:
- Strong professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics or a closely related discipline
- Strong SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets
- Good understanding of Financial Markets and trading products, such as Equities, FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Credit or Derivatives
- Experience working with or alongside Front Office, Trading, Markets or investment teams
- Experience building or working with data pipelines, data platforms, ETL/ELT processes or data architectures
- Experience with modern data technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka or similar
- Experience applying data and analytics to financial markets or complex financial services problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to translate technical concepts, market knowledge and analysis into clear commercial and strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- An interest in developing a career within strategy consulting and senior client advisory
