Campion Pickworth is recruiting on behalf of a leading professional services firm for a Senior Manager to join their growing analytics team, working with top-tier banking and capital markets clients. We are looking for an experienced professional with strong financial services expertise and hands-on experience in analytics, modelling, and cash-flow analysis.
The Role
- Own delivery across a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements within banking and capital markets.
- Lead and sign off complex analytics and modelling deliverables, ensuring technical quality and regulatory robustness.
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, managing relationships with executive and risk leadership.
- Partner with senior leadership to define and communicate the strategic direction of the specialist modelling team.
- Oversee end-to-end project management, including planning, resourcing, timelines, and quality assurance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing analytics teams; support talent development and recruitment.
- Deliver analytics and modelling solutions using tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, R, Tableau, and VBA.
- Provide services including model testing, data analysis, data quality reviews, reporting, and visualisation.
- Embed advanced analytics into external audit approaches and client business processes.
- Develop and deploy innovative analytics tools in response to evolving regulatory and audit requirements.
- Contribute to thought leadership and capability development across the wider practice.
Experience
- Experience in analytics or modelling within the financial services sector, either in consulting or a large financial institution.
- Proven track record of leading multiple teams and managing senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Strong attention to detail, including review of code, outputs, and technical documentation.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with at least one analytical or programming language (Python, SQL, SAS, R, VBA, Tableau).
- Working knowledge of one or more financial asset classes (e.g. loans, mortgages, derivatives).
- Experience building or reviewing cashflow models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional qualification or progress toward one (e.g. FRM, CFA, CQF, ACA, CIMA).
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and data quality frameworks (e.g. BCBS 239).
