Our client, a well-established UK bank, is looking to recruit for a Risk Analytics Analyst role within their London office. This role is responsible for undertaking risk reporting and analysis across the bank's lending portfolios. The ideal candidate will be rigorous, have excellent attention to detail, some programming experience and is likely to have proactively undertaken data projects, including using open-source data.
Role Responsibilities
- Producing accurate, timely monthly reporting including monitoring of risk appetite, portfolio trends and early warning indicators.
- Presenting data and analysis in a way that enables the Executive and Board to make informed decisions.
- Liaising and collaborating with the various teams to understand reporting requirements and to identify and fix data gaps and issues.
- Conducting pro‐active analysis of credit trends across the bank.
- Delivering bespoke analytics to aid the front line business in understanding their overall risk profile.
- Supporting the bank wide Data Integrity program, improving the quality and consistency of data the bank uses in its reporting.
- Continuously improving processes, procedures and tools.
- Developing and maintaining strong, collaborative and constructive relationships with the 1st Line businesses and functions to support the delivery of business objectives whilst maintaining effective controls.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Strong academic background with a degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Exceptional attention to detail, rigour and accuracy.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel & PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical abilities, including experience of programming.
- Excellent written and presentational skills.
- Experience using SAS.
- Understanding or experience of credit risk.
