As a Senior Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering and shaping end-to-end credit risk strategies, covering the full credit lifecycle—from underwriting and portfolio management through to collections and recoveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end credit risk transformation programmes, ensuring high-quality delivery
- Review and enhance credit risk processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost optimisation
- Design and implement credit risk frameworks, policies, and target operating models
- Oversee credit risk audits, due diligence, and assurance activities
- Support clients in implementing effective risk governance structures (three lines of defence)
- Drive improvements in underwriting, portfolio management, and reporting capabilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in credit risk management within financial services
- Strong knowledge of credit processes (underwriting, portfolio management, collections, risk frameworks)
- Experience across retail, commercial, or wholesale lending
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
- Experience in process improvement, transformation, or change delivery
