Camphill Community Glencraig is currently recruiting for the following vacancy: Day Support Worker Farm.

Closing date: 4pm Friday 5th June 2026.

Day Support Workers will assist the team in providing the highest possible standard of support and care to adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour, to pursue a valued lifestyle by participating in meaningful daily activities, supporting the well-being and development of skills as well as enhancing and promoting independence, choices and rights within a safe and caring environment. This position will require working on the Farm, an outdoor Day Opportunity workshop environment.

Please Note: this role does not currently meet the criteria set by the UK Home Office for the Tier 2 Health and Social Care Visa.

Salary: 3-Point scale, commencing on £27,976 per annum.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 9am - 5pm.

Contract: Permanent.

Essential Criteria:

  • NVQ Level II or equivalent (this criterion will be waived where the candidate has at least 12 months relevant experience in an educational/care setting).
  • Basic Numeracy & Literacy (English Language) skills at GCSE level Maths and English grade C.
  • Registered or agreeable to applying for registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC).
  • At least six months recent experience in a caring and/or educational support field.
  • Ability to work as part of an outdoor team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor setting.
  • Strong effective communication skills both orally and in writing.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Qualification in Health & Social Care, Social Sciences.
  • Experience in education or health/social care setting.
  • Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Experience of working with individuals with a disability.
