Camphill Community Glencraig is currently recruiting for the following vacancy: Day Support Worker Farm (26/52/DSW/WEB) Closing date: 4pm- Friday 16th October 2026 Due to the Development of our Day Services we are currently recruiting for Support Workers who will work as part of a community whose purpose is to meet the physical, psychological, emotional and social needs of individuals with a learning disability within the Day Opportunity settings in Camphill Community Glencraig. This position will involve working in the outdoor farm environment. Day Support Workers will assist the team in providing the highest possible standard of support and care to adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour, to pursue a valued life style by participating in meaningful daily activities, supporting the well-being and development of skills as well as enhancing and promoting independence, choices and rights within a safe and caring environment. We are looking for empathetic and caring staff who share our values and a desire to help improve and add to the quality of life and well-being of residents and day attendees. This position will require working in an outdoor Day Opportunity setting environment The Farm *Please Note this role does not currently meet the criteria set by the UK Home Office for the Tier 2 Health and Social Care Visa * Salary: 3-Point scale, commencing on Β£13.45 per hour increasing with length of service Hours: 40 hours per week, 9am 5pm Contract: Permanent Essential Criteria: Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (RQF Level 2 or equivalent, including qualifications awarded under the former QCF), or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline. *This Criteria will be waived where the candidate has at least 12 months relevant experience in a day opportunities/social care setting Basic numeracy and literacy skills at GSCE level, grade C in English and Maths or Essential Skills at level 2( Literacy and Numeracy) Registered or agreeable to applying for registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) At least six months recent experience in a caring and/ or educational support field Ability to work as part of an outdoor team Ability to work in an outdoor setting Desirable Criteria: Qualification in Health & Social Care, Social Sciences Experience in education or health/social care setting Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour Experience of working with individuals with a disability Interest in farming and horticulture Skills: Health & Social Care Support Worker Autism Challenging Behaviour Farming Learning Disability Benefits: Group Life Assurance Paid Holidays Pension Fund Parking ADZN1_NI41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15
