Camphill Community Glencraig is recruiting Support Workers to work within a community setting, meeting the physical, psychological, and social needs of residents with disabilities and challenging behaviour. Experience supporting individuals with Autism and learning disabilities is preferred. The role may involve personal care and, as a last resort, physical intervention with challenging behaviours. Closing date: 4pm, Tuesday 20th May 2025. Note: Currently, we cannot offer visa sponsorship for international candidates, but short-term volunteers who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply. Details: Hours: 38 hours per week, flexible, including evenings, weekends, and unsocial hours. Salary: £24,126 – £24,917 per annum, with incremental increases and enhanced rates for waking nights and weekends. Contract: Permanent. Essential Criteria: QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or related field (or relevant care experience if lacking qualification). Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Registration or willingness to register with the N. Ireland Social Care Council. At least six months of experience in a caring role or one year relevant experience. Flexibility to work on a rota including unsocial hours and weekends. Desirable Criteria: Qualifications in Health & Social Care, Social Sciences, Nursing, or similar. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviour. Skills: Domestic care, personal care, supporting learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour.
