We are looking for a beer lover to join our team at Lost In Leith for the summer. As a craft beer bar and event venue, this is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a beer-focused and lively venue, with a varied and pleasant clientele.
We have a small team that we will invest time in training even though it is only a short-term role. Previous experience working in a bartending or waitering role is essential, but experience in craft beer is not. Good customer service will be a key part of the role as we want our staff to feel comfortable helping customers and guiding them in drink choices.
A strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure will be necessary too as the bar can be at capacity regularly during summer and for events.
The position available is part-time, with 10-20 hours across the week at £13.45 per hour, but part-time applicants available for fewer weekly hours will also be considered. Shifts are available from an immediate start and there is a requirement to be available until at least August 31st, with weekly hours guaranteed until then.
After this point, there may well be the possibility to stay on the team, but currently, we cannot guarantee regular shifts past this date. There is a requirement to be regularly available for Fridays and Saturdays as these are our busiest days, though requested days off will be accommodated whenever possible.
A reference will be required for the successful applicant.
- Staff drink after each shift
- Discount for on- and off-sales at both Campervan venues
- Complimentary hot drinks and some soft drinks on shift
