Campden BRI is an internationally recognized leader in the analytical chemical technology and cereal industry. We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to operate and maintain milling machinery, ensuring high-quality outputs and compliance with the highest standards.
Position
- Operate and monitor milling machinery to process wheat and barley into flour.
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Carry out administrative tasks related to analytical work, e.g., sample receipt and booking in of samples into LabWARE LIMS.
- Produce accurate laboratory records, calculate results, collate data for inclusion in scientific reports and produce reports for bespoke and routine analysis.
- Ensure all aspects of Quality are managed according to Campden BRI standards.
- Calibration, maintenance and daily monitoring of lab equipment such as balances and pipettes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the milling area.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on a number of tasks and manage priorities.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Confident using standard computer programmes.
- Minimum of English & Maths GCSE at Grade C/4 or above.
