Chemistry Graduate Campden BRI support the food & drink industry to ensure food & drink is safe for consumers, up to quality standards and follows legislative requirements, in the UK, Europe and Globally. Our Analytical Services Teams cover a variety of analytical chemistry testing on food & drink. We\’re based in Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire. Position To undertake administration and analysis of samples in the Chromatography Section together with all associated activities. In general, this could involve analysis by GC/MS/MS, LC/MS/MS, HPLC and ICP. Booking in of samples, preparation of samples and reporting of results to clients Routine analysis of food stuffs and associated materials using instrumental methods e.g. HPLC and LC/MS/MS Produce accurate laboratory record, calculate results, collate data for inclusion in scientific reports and produce reports for bespoke and routine analysis To ensure all aspects of quality are managed according to the Campden BRI standards, including maintaining QC records for UKAS accredited methods Responding to client enquires relating to testing within the section Training and supervision of junior staff as required Basic maintenance and calibration of equipment, including GC/MS/MS, LC/MS/MS and HPLC systems Requirements Degree in Chemistry Experience working in a laboratory environment Experience working with chromatography techniques desirable, particularly LC/MS/MS and HPLC Ability to undertake routine analysis with minimal supervision Good organisational skill for managing workload and complex projects Computer literate Well-developed communication skills Enthusiasm to learn and develop your experience Benefits Reward platform with employee discounts and rewards 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays Buy and sell holiday scheme A generous work save pension scheme, with employee contributions matched by the company up to 10% Culture focus around work/life balance Working hours Monday-Thursday 8.45am-5.15pm and Friday 8.45am-4.30pm Subsidised onsite restaurant £27,000 pa annum Please note due to our rural location you must be able to drive and have your own transport.
