Our Chemistry team provides analytical testing across a wide rang e of food, drink and associated materials, helping our clients understand the composition, quality and compliance of their products.
We're looking for an Analyst to join the team, carrying out routine analysis using a range of instrumental techniques. This role would be well suited to someone with a background in chemistry who enjoys practical laboratory work, problems solving and working with analytical instrumentation.
What you'll be doing
- Receiving deliveries, unpacking samples and arranging outgoing parcels and post.
- Logging samples accurately onto our laboratory system (LIMS) and ensuring they are stored correctly.
- Preparing food and drink samples for testing, including mixing and blending.
- Helping to maintain an efficient flow of samples through the laboratory.
- Liaising with couriers and supporting the wider team with practical and administrative tasks.
- Taking on additional laboratory or administrative duties as your experience develops.
What we're looking for
- Is comfortable in a practical, hands-on role. Experience in areas such as retail, hospitality, warehousing or similar environments could be useful.
- Is confident using computers and learning new systems.
- Has good written and verbal communication skills.
- Is organised and able to manage their own workload.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can adapt to changing priorities and move between different tasks when needed.
