We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

Chemistry

We have a permanent opportunity for a Trainee Chemistry Technician- working within our Analytical Services division. This is an entry level role, starting your career within science! We also offer an opportunity to do a Chemistry Degree Apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Position

  • Carry out analysis of foodstuffs and materials relating to the food industry according to client instructions, within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out administrative tasks relating to analytical work e.g. sample receipt and booking in of samples into system
  • Perform method development activates under the direction of a senior analyst. Collect data and produce reports.
  • Ensure all aspects of Quality are managed according to Campden BRI standards, including maintaining QC records for global migration tests
  • Maintenance of UKAS accredited methods relating to migration
  • Calibration, maintenance and daily monitoring of lab equipment e.g. balances, pipettes

Requirements

  • You must be passionate about science
  • Be 18 years or older from July 2025
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Have Ability to travel to Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire daily
  • Hold GCSE Maths & English Grade C+ (or equivalent)
  • Have studied Chemistry at A Level with a grade A or B (or predicted)
